Eugen Dijmarescu
is Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Romania (appointed
in October 2004) and Associate Professor of International Economics
at the National Institute of Economics.
His former positions include Minister delegate for Foreign Trade
(2002-2004), State Secretary for European Affairs, Ministry
of Foreign Affairs (2000), Ambassador of Romania to Japan (1995-1999),
M.P., Deputy Speaker of Romanian Upper House (1992-1994), Minister
of Economy and Finance (June 1990-1991), and Director of the
Institute for World Economy, Bucharest (1990).
