Yu Yongding
is Director-General of the Institute of World Economics and
Politics (IWEP) of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS)
(since 1998), Academician of CASS, Member of the National Advisory
Board of the National Reform and Development Commission of PRC
on the 11th Five-Year Plan (since 2005) and President of the
China Society of World Economics (since 2003). He served as
a Member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the People’s Bank
of China from 2004 to 2006.
He is Editor-in-Chief of two Chinese economic journals (World
Economy, International Review of Economics) and one
English Journal (China and World Economy).
He received his M.A. in economics from the Graduate School of
the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and his Ph.D. in economics
from the University of Oxford. |
